Frances’ primary interest is in supporting the Lab to implement its service design methodology in public systems through good project management and a focus on helping agencies understand the resources they have available to shift their focus to more evidence-based approaches.
She has over 30 years of experience in public sector research, policy development, planning and management with 12 years at a senior management level, most recently in Norfolk where she led the development of new outcome-focused partnership and planning arrangements. She has worked at a strategic level with health and voluntary sectors.
Since joining the Dartington Social Research Unit in 2009, she has supported the implementation of the Evidence2Success methodology in a range of local authorities, developed a fund mapping methodology and supported other service-design work with both public and voluntary sector agencies.
Frances is a keen competitive rower, a cyclist and enjoys her cycling holidays around the world.
