EMILY SETHI
BID WRITING AND DEVELOPMENT LEAD
Emily joined the Lab in January 2025 and leads our bid writing and business development processes, with a particular focus on our training and consultancy work. Her role involves identifying new opportunities and working with colleagues across the organisation as well as a range of national and local partners to put together bids and proposals for work. Emily has a collaborative and relational approach, and a passionate commitment to our collective vision for children and young people.
Emily has a background working within the youth and community sector; where she specialised in participation, mental health, adolescence risk and safeguarding. Most recently developing and leading approaches to peer research and youth social action across the South-West. Emily continues her community research and development work in Devon where she works with a Peer Research network, focusing on creating space for youth voice to influence local policy and practice. Emily draws on this experience, as well as previous business development roles managing public sector contracts, raising income from trusts and foundations and building corporate partnerships, in her role at Dartington Service Design Lab.
