Systems Thinking Training and
Applied Learning Journeys
To address the complex challenges affecting children, young people and families, services, policy-makers and funders need to be more systemic in their approach. This means deeper insights into the interconnected influences upon children, young people and families, better understanding and articulation of the underlying dynamics that fuel cycles of disadvantage and fuller knowledge of where and how interventions are best placed to affect change. Only then can we design coordinated, impactful responses that address the underlying causes and cyclical drivers of inequalities and disadvantages for children and young people.

Richard Graham, Barnardo’s
“We put so much thought into how and why we wanted to do this course. There's a real sense in our sector that even though we're doing the work, we're not delivering for children and young people. Doing the doing is not enough. The learning and sharing [from this course] can really change this."
