Our Services
We work with communities, children and young people to design the changes they want and we support local leaders to implement those changes. We evaluate the impact of those programmes, approaches and services. And we turn evidence into practical advice to influence policy change and investment.
Types of work we can partner with you on:
Systemic Change Programme Design and Facilitation
We use our systemic change playbook and extensive experience to help create conditions, shape priorities and co-design and facilitate ambitious programmes of systemic change with and for children and young people. This can be place-based, or thematically focused.
Public Service Redesign, Testing and Learning
We work with local authorities, children’s services, health systems and charities to help make services work better for children. We bring together practitioner insight, youth and community voice, data analytics and system modelling. We help to design, test and refine services to drive equitable engagement and impact.
Learning Partnerships
We work collaboratively as a learning partner, bringing reflective, constructive and practical support to the design, early-stage implementation and refinement of systemic change and public service reform efforts. This can look like creating conditions and spaces for reflection and learning or more hands on, formalised formative and developmental evaluation approaches.
Systemic Change Evaluation
We undertake robust evaluations of complex systemic change or place-based initiatives. This includes more formalised evaluations of earlier-stage services and initiatives, as well as impact evaluations of more established complex systemic change programmes, using methods such as contribution analysis, realists-evaluation and/or ripple-effects mapping.
Participatory Research and Evidence Reviews
We work with partners to design and support inclusive and participatory approaches to research around specific issues or topics, including youth-led and community-based action research. We support partners to set these up well, paying particular attention to ethics, safeguarding, power dynamics and rigour. We also undertake rapid evidence and research synthesis. We help make sense of what emerges so it is meaningful, practical and impactful.
